By³ on najstarszym z dwojga dzieci - ma³¿onków Hilarego Fragomeni i Marii Mazza, ludzi pokornych, zwi±zanych z upraw± ziemi, spokojnych i ufaj±cych w Bo¿± Opatrzno¶æ. Ludzie z tych terenów ¿yli z niespotykan± dum± i determinacj±, niezbêdn± do przezwyciê¿enia trudów ¿ycia, oparci o siln± wiarê, która wiod³a do solidarno¶ci miêdzy mieszkañcami. Niezwyk³e do¶wiadczenia rozpali³y mi³o¶æ w m³odym, osiemnastoletnim sercu Cosima i sprawi³y, ¿e m³odzieniec odda³ siê dzie³u ewangelizacji dla zbawienia grzeszników.

Brother Cosimo biography
Cosimo Fragomeni was born in January 27, 1950 in one of the humble houses in Santa Domenica village, on the southern side of Italy in the region of Calabria. He was the oldest son of Hilary Fragomeni and Mary Mazza, two humble and calm people hoping in God’s Providence. The people from this site always lived with unusual determination and strong faith, which were necessary to go through all hardships of ordinary life and allowed to build strong relationships between people. Small Cosimo was growing up in such a family, where mutual respect and peace were always present. That was also an environment where, deep Cosimo’s soul, was growing a desire of sanctity. During the first month of his life, he was baptized by his parents in the church of Saint Basil the Great. Cosimo was spending his childhood among simple farmers, while his mother taught him about Christian faith and virtues. She realized soon that her son is different from her other children. Although the hardships of ordinary life were not taken away from Cosimo, he was always a helpful and obedient child, eager to help his father in tending the flock of sheep. These moments of silence among the nature were important for Cosimo – during these moments he prayed and meditated. The most important part of Cosimo’s spiritual life was his deep Marian devotion. When he became an adolescent, Cosimo seemed to be a good candidate to become an ascetic. His mystical experiences were written in thirty letters. Among them, Cosimo describes Marian revelations, which happened to him between May 11 and 14 1968, next to the rock on his way home. That place became a scene of Marian revelations, and is still visited by many pilgrims. Unusual experiences fired up a feeling of love in young, eighteen-year-old heart of Cosimo and made him dedicate his life expending the message that Holy Mary left him.
